To understand consumer perceptions behind labeling in the energy drink industry our team created the energy drink "TRZY" to observe the implications of "healthy" labeling.

Does the addition of the word “natural” on an energy drink label impact a consumer’s perception of energy drinks?

Conclusions:

  • Caffeine intake is not an important factor in choice of energy drink.

  • Women prefer natural energy drinks.

  • Flavor is an important factor in choosing energy drinks.

  • Young people want healthy products.

Platforms Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dimension, Qualtrics, and SPSS.
  • To alleviate any bias associated with known energy drink brands, we created our own energy drink brand: TRZY. Utilizing Adobe Illustrator, I created two labels to be used to help our team answer our research question.

  • Once the design was complete I utilized Adobe Dimension to show the label on a can to be used in our survey.
