Our team created an experiment to understand consumers' perception of cross-app tracking on iPhones in light of recent iPhone updates and privacy concerns.

Will the addition of the phrase “Your Personal Information Will Not be Shared or Sold” on the opt-in prompt increase the percentage of users opting into app tracking on iPhone devices?
Research Question:
The addition of the phrase “Your Personal Information Will Not be Shared or Sold” on the opt-in prompt will increase the percent of users opting in compared to a prompt without this phrase.
Hypothesis:
Conclusion:
Our survey data showed no significant correlations thus disproving our hypothesis and thus proving that even if given the information behind app tracking motives, they still value their privacy above all else.
This study can be used to show companies how fragile relationships with consumers can be and how hard it can be to repair trust once it has been broken.

I utilized Adobe Illustrator to create our manipulation variable that included the wording “Your Personal Information Will Not be Shared or Sold” on the opt-in prompt shown on Apple iPhones.
