Business Student Council

Established in 1968, Business Student Council is an organization dedicated to serving the Mays Business School, positively impacting the Bryan-College Station community, and developing leaders within the council.

Within the Council, I have served on our Internal Affairs Committee (‘21-’22) and the Marketing Committee (‘22-’23) where I have the opportunity to work on vendor management skills and increase awareness of the Council and the events we host.

Maysfest

Maysfest: Best! Day! Ever!

Each semester the Council puts on an all-day event to serve the students of Mays Business School. As a free event open to all students at Texas A&M, Maysfest provides free food and games as a fun break from classes.

Business StudentCouncil hosts Mays Business Schools’ Career Fair each semester, with our fall fair being our largest.

Career Fair

For the Fall 2022 Career Fair, I had the opportunity to create the baseline graphic to be used throughout all of our promotional material. From here, our marketing committee resized and updated the graphic to create yard signs, posters, and various main feed and story posts to be used on Instagram.

Council Website

As my first project in our marketing committee, I took on the responsibility of updating our council’s website.

Working off of our established website layout, I went through each page to add the latest council happenings and pictures for the community to see what we have been up to all year!

In addition, I optimized our desktop and mobile website for ease of use with a mobile-first mentality.

Official Seal

During the Fall of 2022, I had the honor of designing the official seal for Business Student Council.

By deconstructing our official logo I kept our BSC letters as the center of attention with our core values surrounding them as they are the core values that each member of the council strives to live by. Wanting. to incorporate our well-known swoosh, I created leaves on the lower half to represent the council and the excellence within it.
